With the appointment of Una Power, CFO and Senior VP, Corporate Planning and Business Development at Nexen Inc. and Ruth Woods, COO at Osler to their Board of Directors, Kinross Gold has hit the 25% mark of women on their board. Studies have found that having at least three women on board is a "magic number" because of the positive effect on board dynamics and company performance. Kudos to Kinross for recognizing the value of having more women directors.
